Pulsar Racing enters the 2008 Round Britain Offshore Powerboat Race.
Welcome to Team Pulsar.

The 2008 Round Britain Offshore Powerboat Race
“The Greatest Offshore Boat Race in the World”
Well we did it! Team Pulsar Racing achieved many of the goals we set out to at the beginning of this great adventure. The 1600 mile marathon that was the Round Britain Offshore Powerboat Race 2008 took us from Portsmouth, on the 21st June, where we then circumnavigated the coast of Britain in a clockwise direction arriving back in Portsmouth 10 exhausting days later. Both the Pulsar direct boats not only finished the race but also finished in the top 25 of all the boats taking part. A commendable performance from the Team considering for most of them this was their first major endurance race. With these finishing positions also came two trophies awarded to Team Pulsar Racing, both awarded to Vampire, the first The Moore Family Trophy was for the lowest powered, highest finisher. The second trophy awarded was the Round Britain Trophy for bravery and determination for being one of only two boats to circumnavigate the whole course including the cancelled leg from Plymouth to Milford Haven encountering 8m high waves round Lands End in the process!

Of course none of this would have been possible without an awful lot of other people who all require our thanks, to our major partners Pulsar direct Ltd, R.B.M. Spa of Italy, Wolf Heating GMBH of Germany, Unidelta Spa of Italy, Orkli S.Coop of Spain, DAB Spa of Italy and Valsir Spa also from Italy we thank you all for the valuable contributions that you made, without your support this adventure would have never got off of the ground. To all our other company sponsors Sentinel, Armeg, Blaklader, Grundfos, FedEx, Aqualisa, Bexwell, Salus Controls, Monument Tools, Vokera thank you for your generosity. On the marine side we would like to thank Suzuki Marine Division, CH Marine, Quinquari Marine, Raymarine, Marine Match, Humber Inflatables and Aquatec for all of their support, supply of equipment and expertise. It would not have been possible without you guys!

We would also like to thank each and every one of you who have donated money to our good causes, one of the main reasons for doing this was to see how much money we could raise for our designated charities; from the customers of Pulsar direct, to the personal friends and the people who donated money on line, to the members of the public who contributed at the Pulsar Roadshows, thank you the money is still coming in and when we have a final figure we will let you know more on the site.

If you have not yet had a chance to make a donation all you need to do is a Click Here and follow the instructions, they are all really worthy charities where every penny counts.

Thanks to you all,
Justin Mc Inerney. Team Pulsar

Can a Wolf really run round Ireland that quick?

Okay who’s had enough? Not us! Was the response from the crew of Wolf after a few days relaxation and the bruises had started to go down. So what is next for Team Pulsar Racing? How about a shot at the record for the fastest circumnavigation of Ireland in 2009. Sounds like a challenge…

Watch this space for the further adventures of our intrepid crew.
