A world class Offshore Event More than a simple powerboat race, The Round Ireland Offshore Powerboat Race requires offshore navigation capabilities combined with rock solid reliability to ensure success. The mix of physical rigor with technical performance is what attracts most people to the event. The ability to endure in an extreme environment is what offshore racing is all about. The Human Element Entering the race could be described as climbing your own personal Everest. The offshore environment inspires adventures and represents one of life�s great challenges. Short course. 100nm Weather Lay day in Killybegs. Chance to repair and revive, enjoy the local hospitality or enjoy the shortcoure racing spectacle on the day Thursday the 13th May: Stage 3: Killybegs - Bangor 180nm Friday the 14th May: Stage 4: Bangor - Waterford 205nm End of Race Presentations, Celebrations, and Dinner. |

The Round Britain Offshore Powerboat Race 2008 has been described as the �Everest of Powerboat Racing� and �The Greatest Offshore Powerboat Race in The World�.
Over 60 Boats, Crew & Support Teams are taking part and the Race is sure to be a fantastic event with lots of activity at each venue during race Times. Day 1: Saturday 21st June. Portsmouth The race starts at Portsmouth from Gun Wharf Quays Marina. Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4. Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2. First boats expected to arrive in Plymouth from 2.00pm onwards. Day 2: Sunday 22nd June. Plymouth The race starts from The Mayflower Marina, Plymouth. Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4. Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2. First boats expected to arrive in Milford Haven from 2.00pm onwards. Day 3: Monday 23rd June. Milford Haven The race starts from The Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven. Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4. Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2. First boats expected to arrive in Bangor, Northern Ireland from 2.00pm onwards. Day 4: Tuesday 24th June. Bangor The race starts from The Bangor Marina, Bangor. Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4. Race start two at 10.00am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2. First boats expected to arrive in Oban from 2.00pm onwards. |
