Milford Haven, Wales, Stage three of The 2008 Round Britain Offshore Power Boat Race™. Approx eta of first raceboat - 14.00 June 22nd 2008. June 23rd 2008, the race to stage 4 of the 2008 Round Britain Bangor, Northern Ireland! Race start one at 9.30am for Classic Boats, Cruisers and RB4. Race start two at 10.00 am for RB1, RB2, RB3 and Classic Class 2. Milford Haven situated near the mouth of the River Cleddau, at the extreme end of south west Wales, is the largest town in the County of Pembrokeshire, with a population of just under 14,000. In the 9th and 10th Centuries Viking seafarers frequently took shelter here, the name Milford probably coming from a phonic development of two Old Norse words – Melyr/Fyord (sandbank inlet).
