June 25th 2008, the passage through the Caledonian Canal to Inverness, Scotland!
For those boats going on their bottoms up the Caledonian Canal to Inverness, they will have to be at Fort William by 6.30am so as to get into the Canal system and through in one day. Fort William is 30 miles from Oban. Competitors will HAVE to be up at 4am, down to the quay, onto a ferry that will take you half a mile across the water to Oban Marina Limited where the race boats are moored, and then take your boat to Fort William. Missing that locking system at that time is not an option! |
